Lots of things happening and have happened since my last entry. I have work in the TALA (Texas lawyers and accounts) for the arts gala. This year they are honoring the Houston artist Burt Long. It takes place October 24 7-11 The Crystal ball Room at Rice. This Years theme is Journey to Olympia. Also The Twelfth Annual Art on the Avenue is taking place the evening of November the 8th, 2008 at Winter Street Studios benefiting the affordable housing programs of Avenue CDC. I have a bench that I decorated and donated and I am also donating two works of art. October 27- November 22 at H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery on the campus of El Centro College is a group show commemorating the 45th year of the tragic JFK assassination. I was invited to make a piece of art for the show. The Gallery is just a few blocks from the grassy knoll. December 6th –January 3, 2008 6pm to 9pm. I am very excited to be in a two person show at the Koelsch Gallery 703 Yale, Houston. I will be sharing the stage with Bettie Ward. Bettie makes some amazing work that is embroidery on Linen. At Texas Collaborative this month we worked with Oregon Native American artist Rick Bartow affiliated with the Wiyot tribe. He made 39 Monoprints in three days. Wore us out.
